Summary: The ocean is rife with lifeforms that rip and tear people apart if we get too close. But this is not a case of sharks or piranhas. It's worse. So much worse. And most of it is our fault.

History: Near the Chesapeake Bay is the town of Claridge, Maryland. It's an ideal beach area, until you take into account the excess pollution mainly coming from a chicken meat factory. All of this excess waste has poisoned the waters, and a deadly plague is spreading. But it's no ordinary plague. It's causing people to get infected with mutated isopod parasites that eat their way out of their hosts.

Notable Kills: Read that last sentence above. It's worse in action.

Final Fate: In almost every tape shown, the isopods brutally kill anyone they infect. The tapes showing the carnage going on are confiscated, and it seems like the crustaceans are here to stay for a while.

Powers/Abilities: Can breed explosively in human hosts.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4.5-Just imagine yourself interacting with water, only to feel sick afterwards. Soon enough, unimaginable pain. Horrific homicidal versions of otherwise harmless sea lice come bursting out of you, be it your neck, your head, your mouth, or wherever. And soon, the whole town will be like that...

Trivia: -The actual isopod, or Cymothoa exigua, is called the tongue-eating louse for a reason. It doesn't harm humans, but it does replace the tongues of certain fish. Granted, it doesn't actually eat the tongue, it just bleeds it out until it just falls off. The isopod then gets free food every time the fish eats.

-This film was primarily made to expose the copious amounts of pollution that regularly ruins the Chesapeake Bay. It may not have a parasite problem (yet), but it's still a lousy look for the state of the environment.
